As one of the certified therapy dogs in the PATDogs team, she has experienced planes, trains, automobiles, backpacks, bicycles, and boats. However, her favorite places to be are hiking in the woods and curling up on laps. Born in Florida, Koki has been living with Ngaire, George, and her big brother Tai for 3 years.

Betty is always on the go! When she’s not out on therapy visits sharing joy and brightening someone’s day, you’ll likely find her in agility classes, showing off her speed, focus, and enthusiasm. She loves heading out on adventures with her owner, Mikayla, but she’s just as happy curled up on the couch for a cozy snuggle. Betty is known for her signature rainbow tail, which perfectly matches her vibrant personality—and she’s proudly earned her Advanced Trick title.

You can find Vinny visiting frequently at the Brandon General Hospital, children’s day camps, and participating in community events. When Vinny isn’t working, he enjoys playing with his toys at home, snoozing under a cozy blanket on the couch, or eagerly begging to accompany Emmy to her hair salon job (he lives for salon gossip). Although Vinny may be small, he certainly brings mighty smiles to everyone he meets.

In January 2024, Duke was found roaming the streets of Winnipeg all by himself. He was picked up by Winnipeg Animal Services, where he then spent the next 4 months waiting for someone to claim him or adopt him. In May 2024, we came across a video of Duke online and decided to adopt him. After months of exercise and training, Duke was ready to join the PATDogs team as a certified therapy dog.

 Sadie has earned her Master Rally Obedience title, while Jasper holds his Excellent Rally Obedience title and has also achieved the Advanced Agility Dog of Canada title. Both dogs love trail running and swimming.

Bean has a special collar and leash used exclusively for visits. The moment they’re put on, her puppy smile appears and doesn’t fade until it’s time to leave. As soon as she steps out of the vehicle, she knows exactly where she’s going—pulling straight to the front desk, something she normally never does.

Cooper has also participated in "Do More With Your Dog" trick class where we made it to Expert level. 

Cooper is always easy to find as he is either on my lap or at my side. Unless someone is in the kitchen then he will likely be in there patiently waiting for some food to accidentally drop!

Teddy comes by his name honestly as he is a big teddy bear who loves to visit individuals of all ages, greeting everyone with his warm smile and calm presence. Not only does Teddy excel in therapy dog roles, but he is also actively involved in agility classes/trials and rally classes. He enjoys car rides and tug toys.

Remi enjoys long walks and playing lots of fetch. A favorite among kids, she loves meeting new people. Remi also enjoys swimming at the lake, going on boat rides, and trail rides with the horses, all while spending quality time with her family. Additionally, Remi is a very talented frisbee catcher.

Cooper is bursting with personality and charm. He has an incredibly big heart and a special love for young children—especially babies. While he’s sweet and affectionate, he also has a playful, mischievous streak, whether he’s counter surfing or sneaking off with a shoe or two. He looks forward to his weekly PlayCare visits and thrives on the fun and social time. Cooper truly has a way of winning hearts and is loved by so many.

Roman and Lindsay,  do most of their therapy work in schools with elementary students, but they also love visiting hospitals. Roman enjoys being a certified therapy dog, spending time at dog daycare, stealing socks, counter surfing, and hogging the bed.

Olie  has a knack for sniffing out partridges or Prairie Chickens and treeing them. He gets a huge kick out of studying frogs and chasing them, which is hilarious to watch. Although he never catches one, they fascinate him! During our therapy visits, Olie shines showcasing his poodle prance and chill attitude. He provides plenty of snuggles and cuddles, relishing all the attention he receives from the people we visit.

River  has a  soft-hearted, gentle nature  which means he’s always checking in to make sure he’s loved—by everyone. With the promise of a treat, River is happy to show off his impressive trick repertoire, which includes double high fives, sitting pretty, and rolling over, among other various tricks. Whether it is showcasing his talents or simply enjoying some pets, he is just happy to be included and loved by all.

Hank loves to cuddle—whether it’s with his family, strangers, his toys, or even the nearest inanimate object. He’ll happily snuggle just about anything, a true reflection of his gentle and loving nature. Hank has dedicated much of his work to supporting local Mental Health Services in and around Brandon. His calm presence and affectionate spirit make a meaningful difference.

Sarge is  an expert trick dog—but he doesn’t work for free! If you want to see his impressive moves, you’d better have a treat ready. Behind the talent and charm is a whole lot of heart (and plenty of tail wags). Sarge loves bringing comfort, smiles, and a calming presence to everyone they visit. Jack is happiest curled up on a bed or couch, enjoying a cozy nap and lots of gentle pats—perfect for those who just need a calm, comforting presence.

Waylon is a sweet, gentle golden giant with an incredibly cuddly personality. He brings comfort and calm to the folks he works with. His favourite toy is his Lamb Chop (“Lammie”), and he can often be seen proudly carrying it around wherever he goes. Waylon has a special gift for sensing when someone needs extra comfort and will quietly lean in for a reassuring cuddle.

George shares the same gentle, loving temperament as Waylon. He is a sweet boy who especially loves playing fetch and adventuring outside. George has earned his intermediate trick title and has some fun tricks to share.

Waylon and George are full brothers born about one year apart! They serve primarily as school therapy dogs supporting students emotional well-being.

Lena  is a proud co-handler and Gramma! of Waylon and George. They share a very special bond and love spending time with her. Lena is a retired nurse who dedicated her entire nursing career to Brandon Regional Health Authority. She now enjoys volunteering with Waylon and George, and holds a special place in her heart for patients and staff in palliative care, where she brings compassion, comfort, and understanding through her therapy dog visits.

When Chunky Monkey was born, he was chubby and nicknamed Chunky Monkey and the name stuck! He is very calm and loving except when he sees a squirrel or deer then all bets are off! He is always happy to see people and go for car rides!

Romeo loves his monkey toy and going on long walks. His favorite dog treat is bully sticks, and his favorite human treat is peanut butter. He especially enjoys walks where he can take his time sniffing and exploring, which helps him relax.
